I am sitting in a very fortunate position right now. Most people get stuck thinking…I would love to do that, if only I had this or if only I had started then. I have the opportunity to say…I have nothing, by a weird twist of fate I am alive and so is my family and our family and friends have helped us start fresh. This is a story of what we did when we had a fresh start and no chains holding us down.
“Become the change you wish to see in the world” – Gandhi? Doesn’t matter who said this, it’s a great way to live life. Myself, my wife and my three sons can begin doing this, today. This will be a journal of how this affects our lives.
We should begin with an introduction and brief flashback. I am Benjamin DuBois. Born 10/23/1979. I have loved and lost, moved and found myself countless times. I was a baby, then a child. Shortly after I became a teenager, world traveler, then college. You can fill in the rest. In September of 2001 I met the love of my life. We were married on 5/22/2004. Lindsay and I have 3 wonderful(ish) boys. Keenan, Gavin and Owen. 8, 5, 2 as of 11/17/2013.
